Often, we spend our time, energy, and money on things that are visible and only temporary, while the unseen and eternal are more important.

We usually see the house, not the home; the brain, not the mind; the body, not the soul.

We also forget that no matter how much time we spend here on earth, we will spend very little time there in heaven.

A period of a thousand years on the earth is nothing compared to eternity in heaven.

Three important things have to do with eternity and eternal life:

1. Sin Kills and Destroys

At first, we may still enjoy the guilt and think that it has no serious effect. But the truth is, sin destroys and kills, it is his nature. Opposite of love resurrection and forming.

The pain that results from sin is like the sting of the venom of a snake as it spreads, fast and certain.

Snake venom attacks the blood, nervous system, and other tissues.

The result is a rapid heartbeat, weakness, nausea, vomiting, muscle stiffness, paralysis, and sudden death. This is also the effect of sin on our lives.

Sin destroys not only the body but the whole being. Sin stains the immaculate soul that comes from the breath of the holiest God. It takes joy from our hearts.

Sin beats us to the point that we are paralyzed and eventually die.

At the slaughterhouse, the cow and pig to be slaughtered are sealed.

They are pitiful because they are unaware that their end is near.

Sin is the mark of death and like cows and pigs in the slaughterhouse, we have no power to save ourselves, we need a savior.

2. God Himself Steps to Save Us from Death

Except for God, no one has the ability to save.

Let's go back to the snake's bite. The antidote to snake venom is antivenom or antivenin.

How is an antivenin made? First, the venom is extracted from the snake itself. Then, the venom is injected into the horse. As a result, antibodies are formed and isolated to make antivenin.

Blood is also the antidote, the antidote to the sting of sin, but no longer the blood of a horse, but the blood of Jesus.

It is not enough for us just to know that Jesus is the savior, the antivenin against the deadly sting of sin must be to believe in the mind that Jesus is indeed God.

It is the complete trust that only He can save us from the poison of death. It is the complete surrender of our lives to His power. He is in control of us.

There is a lot of blood in our veins.

John 3:16 summarizes the Gospel. Here God will reveal the pattern of true love, the basis of all love-based relationships: when you love, you have to give as much as you can, even to the point of giving your own life.

Jesus, when He loved us He loved us sincerely because He gave His life for our salvation.

3. Jesus' Salvation is Complete

There are two important results of this salvation: delivering us from impending doom and granting us eternal life.

Not only did God bring us out of the grave, He even opened the door of heaven for us.

Not only are we given momentary comfort, but we are also endowed with eternal life

Jesus' mission was not condemnation, but salvation. This is the best news we have ever received and we can accept. In Jesus, we have salvation and eternal life.

After an evangelist spoke at a rally, an atheist asked, "Is it true that Jonah was swallowed by a whale?" "I will ask Jesus when I come in the next life," the evangelist replied.

"How come Jesus isn't there?" the atheist asked again. "If Christ weren't there, it had to be Satan." I'm sure I'll see you, so ask him."

When we believe in Jesus, only here on earth can we taste heaven? In food, when just tasting it is delicious, it is definitely more delicious when it is actually eaten.

Theologians say, "heaven is here, but not yet." Those who believe in Jesus are already experiencing the glory of heaven but just taste it, a mere foretaste.

While we are still here, let us always remember that sin kills and destroys like the venom of a serpent.

Only Jesus has the power to save us from the deadly poison of sin, and this salvation is complete and complete.
